Beyond the façade of Biden vs Trump there has been a major shift in the demography and economic outlook in America that has been driving a deep divide.
One: A younger generation that is more progressive and left-leaning along with monitories that have been marginalized and want more equity/equality (socially, economically, etc.). This is where the Bernie phenomenon will continue into the future.
The other: A white majority (mostly male) that feels disenfranchised and fighting for what seems their last chance to keep America the way “it used to look” for them. This is where the Trump phenomenon will continue into the future.
None of the two will go quietly into the night. The old establishment – the Biden phenomenon – is just the break between the fighting rounds to catch a break and prepare for the next fight.
